Russian forces have reportedly killed a civilian man following the occupation of the village of Novooleksiivka, near the town of Selydove, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, on November 11, a Telegram channel posted information about the killing of a civilian by Russian terrorists in the Pokrovsk district.

According to media reports, the crime occurred after the occupation of Novooleksiivka, located near Selydove. Published photos show the body of a man lying on the road near destroyed private houses.

"Urgent investigative and search measures are currently underway to verify the information, establish all the circumstances of the incident, and identify the victim of the occupiers," the Office of the Prosecutor General added.

Russia’s war crimes

War crimes committed by Russian forces during the war against Ukraine include numerous attacks on civilians, the destruction of residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and critical infrastructure. According to international law, attacks on civilian targets and indiscriminate shelling that endanger the lives of civilians are serious violations of the laws of war. Incidents in the cities of Bucha, Irpin, and Mariupol received widespread public attention.

Also today, November 11, Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets reported information spreading online about yet another execution of unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian terrorists in the Kursk region.
