Russians shelled the territory of a medical facility and the private sector in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region. As a result of the strikes, a civilian was fatally injured, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"Due to the strikes, the roof and structures of an inactive hospital building caught fire, as well as dry grass near a private residential house on an area of about 1000 square meters. The fire was extinguished at 1.50 pm," the statement reads.

As a result of the shelling, a man born in 1952 died from fatal shrapnel wounds.

Situation in the Kharkiv region

Russian occupiers almost daily strike the region's settlements. Most often, those located near the frontline and the Russia-Ukraine border come under fire.

According to the Head of the Kharkiv Region Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, as a result of today's shelling of Kupiansk, one civilian received serious injuries. Doctors are fighting for his life.
