Russians have transferred twice as many bodies in 4 months as during full-scale war

The Registry of the Missing now contains over three thousand bodies that have not been identified. Notably, in the past four months, Russia has transferred twice as many bodies as during the entire period of the full-scale war, stated the Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances, Artur Dobroserdov.
Dobroserdov stated that the Registry of the Missing currently contains information on more than 3,200 bodies that have not yet been identified. He noted that by "bodies," he also means individual remains.
"You understand that over the last 4 months, there have been large repatriations, and the number of bodies delivered is twice as high as the number delivered during the full-scale invasion," he emphasized.
The Commissioner for Missing Persons under Special Circumstances also pointed out that investigations and identification processes are still ongoing. According to him, the Registry contains only those bodies that cannot be visually identified and are subject to investigative actions.
Body exchange
It is important to note that during the full-scale war between Ukraine and Russia, the process of exchanging the bodies of fallen soldiers is ongoing.
This humanitarian exchange is carried out with the participation of forensic experts from the International Committee of the Red Cross and remains one of the few diplomatic channels between the two countries.
On January 24, Ukraine returned the bodies of 757 fallen soldiers who had fought in the Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The next exchange took place on February 14, when Ukraine again received the bodies of over 700 fallen soldiers.
