Russians claim Ukraine destroyed another bridge in Kursk region
Russian Telegram channel ASTRA claims that Ukrainian forces have allegedly destroyed a bridge over the Seym River near the village of Zvannoe in the Kursk region.
This time, the Russians have not specified what was used to destroy the bridge. However, a published photo shows a massive hole in the bridge. It is likely no longer suitable for heavy traffic.
This implies that the only remaining bridge in the Glushkovsky district is in the village of Karizh. As a result, Russian troops that may still be in the area have almost no remaining routes for supplying weapons and provisions.
What happened before
On Friday, August 16, the Russians claimed that Ukrainian Armed Forces had destroyed a bridge over the Seym River near the village of Glushkovo during an operation in the Kursk region. This bridge was a key logistics artery in the area.
At that time, the Russians stated that Ukraine had allegedly used "several American HIMARS rockets" to destroy the bridge.
The Russians also claimed that the Ukrainian forces were allegedly "striking the bridge in the village of Zvan and intending to capture the Glushkovsky district along the Seym River." However, there was no confirmation of these claims.
Later, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk released a video showing the destruction of the bridge near Glushkovo. He mentioned that Ukrainian aviation was also involved in the operation in the Kursk region.
