Russian occupiers launched an attack on Ukraine overnight on January 4 using drones and missiles. Ukrainian Air Force reported that two UAVs were successfully intercepted by anti-aircraft defenses.
"On the night of January 4, 2024, the enemy launched an attack with two strike UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type from the southeast direction. Both were destroyed in Khmelnytskyi region," the report says.
Besides, the occupiers targeted the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions with three guided anti-aircraft missiles.
Shelling of Ukraine
Russian forces conducted two missile attacks on Kharkiv, deploying S-300 missiles in the evening of January 3. The strikes hit the city center, causing damage to infrastructure.
Furthermore, in the night of January 4, the occupiers launched a missile strike on Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region, destroying a kindergarten and a school. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
