Brutal attack on Zaporizhzhia region: one dead, some injured

Russian forces have shelled the village of Bilenke in the Zaporizhzhia region with cluster munitions. According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, there are injured and one dead as a result of the attack.
Around 8:00 AM on Saturday, October 7, the occupants shelled the village. Preliminary information suggests that the Russians launched the attack using multiple rocket launchers with cluster munitions.
"Due to the insidious enemy strike, a private residence and outbuildings have been damaged," the report stated.
A woman has been reported killed as a result of the Russian attack, and two more individuals have sustained injuries.
Situation in the Zaporizhzhia region
Russians regularly shell populated areas in the Zaporizhzhia region. Not only frontline towns and villages but also Zaporizhzhia city itself have come under enemy fire.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian military forces have intensified their offensive operations in the Zaporizhzhia region this summer. As noted by ISW analysts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are advancing closer to Verbove.
