Russian troops attacked Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, for the first time using drones with night vision cameras, according to Yevhen Yevtushenko, the head of Nikopol District Military Administration, and Serhii Lysak, head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

"Late in the evening, Russians attacked Nikopol with kamikaze drones. The evening drone attack indicates that the Russians are using new drones with night vision cameras," Yevtushenko says.

Russia has already used such drones

According to him, such drones have been used by the Russian occupiers at the front for a long time, but this is the first case in the district.

"Nikopol greeted the morning with anxiety and a warning about the danger of the enemy using kamikaze drones. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are performing combat work. However, if possible, it is better to stay in buildings," he warns.

Consequences of the attack

According to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, 2 private houses, an outbuilding, and a power line were damaged as a result of the shelling in Nikopol.

"No one was killed or injured," he says, adding that at night the Russian occupiers shelled one of the villages of the Marhanets community with heavy artillery.
