In the early hours of July 2, Russian forces launched a drone attack on the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. The strike caused fires, left one person dead, and injured another, according to the channel of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.

Oleh Syniehubov clarified that two settlements came under Russian attack: Boryvske and Voloska Balakliia.

In Boryvske, the strike, reportedly involving five Geran-2 (Shahed-type) drones, ignited fires at storage facilities, bales of hay, and two minibuses located on the premises of an agricultural enterprise.

"The fire, which has now been contained, covered an area of 800 square meters," the statement said.

One person was killed and another injured as a result of the strike.

In the village of Voloska Balakliia, another strike, also reportedly involving five Geran-2 drones, ignited structural elements of a warehouse facility at a local agricultural enterprise. The fire has since been extinguished, and no casualties were reported there.

Strike of Kharkiv region

Russian forces continue to regularly strike the Kharkiv region using drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.

For example, in the early hours of June 30, two districts, Kharkiv and Chuhuiv, came under attack. The strikes triggered fires, destroyed buildings, and left several civilians injured.
