Russians attack airfield in Khmelnytsky region with Kinzhal missiles
Today, October 7, at approximately 8:20 AM Kyiv time, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine with three Kinzhal missiles. One of the missiles struck near the Starokostiantyniv airfield in the Khmelnytskyi region, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Attack on Ukraine
On October 7, at 8:26 AM Kyiv time, an air raid alert was declared across Ukraine. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detected the launch of a MiG-31K aircraft. Shortly afterward, fast-moving targets were reported heading towards Kyiv and Starokostiantyniv. Moments later, an explosion was heard in the capital, and the Kyiv City Military Administration reported the activation of air defense systems.
During the attack on Kyiv, falling debris was recorded in several districts:
- Solomianskyi district – Debris damaged the roof of a multi-story residential building, with additional fragments falling on the grounds of a school and open areas.
- Holosiivskyi district – Debris fell on the roof of a car.
- Shevchenkivskyi district – Fragments fell on open ground.
Additionally, during the night of October 7, Russia attacked Ukraine with:
- An Iskander-M ballistic missile;
- An X-59 guided aviation missile;
- A missile of an unknown type;
- Attack drones.
The Air Defense Forces (ADF) successfully destroyed two Kinzhal missiles and 32 enemy drones.
