Russians have acknowledged that there is a shortage of doctors in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. Even providing housing for specialists from Russia has not helped resolve the issue, reports the National Resistance Center (NRC).

The information resource noted that due to the refusal of most local doctors to cooperate with the enemy, Russians are struggling to address the staffing shortage.

"At a meeting in the occupation administration, the collaborators acknowledged the problem and noted that even the provision of housing for Ukrainians who have left the region to touring doctors from Russia does not help the situation," the report states.

Specifically, the Russians are reluctant to move to the occupied territories, as they recognize they are mere invaders and their careers are temporary. According to their estimates, only 40 doctors moved to the occupied territories of Ukraine permanently in 2023. This figure is lower than what the Kremlin had anticipated.

Most schools in the occupied territories of Ukraine have closed their cafeterias due to a shortage of staff.
