In the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, about 80% of critical infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed by Russian shelling. At the same time, Russian troops are located just 7 kilometers from the outskirts of the city, according to Serhii Dobriak, head of the city's military administration.

Despite the danger, about 13,000 residents, including 94 children, remain in Pokrovsk.

“Only yesterday there were two attacks: at 10:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. Russia launched 6 guided aerial bombs on the city center. The shelling resulted in injuries - 4 people were wounded,” says Dobriak.

Russia is systematically destroying civilian infrastructure, leaving the city without electricity, water, and gas.

Despite the difficult conditions, the evacuation continues. A month and a half ago, 48,000 people lived in the city, including almost 5,900 children.

Situation in Pokrovsk

Russian troops continue to advance in Donbas, particularly in the Luhansk and Donetsk sectors. According to the Institute for War Studies, Russians have had some success on these fronts.

However, the Ukrainian military managed to stop the Russian army's offensive near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, reported another success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
