A car carrying Russian citizen Roman Syromyatnikov was blown up in Novomoskovsk, Tula Region, Russia. It is known that this war criminal tortured Ukrainians held in Russian captivity, according to the Telegram channel Vazhnye Novosti.
According to the latest data, the incident occurred on October 2 near Syromyatnikov’s home. Preliminary reports suggest that explosives may have been placed under the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Rosgvardia officers and vehicles with license plates from the Russian Ministry of Defense arrived at the scene.
Syromyatnikov previously worked in the Russian penitentiary system and has been participating in the war against Ukraine since 2023. In particular, he served in the 51st Regiment of the 106th Tula Airborne Division on the Siversk direction in the Donetsk region and took part in the defense of the Kursk region.
In late November 2024, the war criminal returned to the Tula region for medical treatment.
In September 2025, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine notified Syromyatnikov of suspicion of torturing Ukrainian prisoners of war in Correctional Colony No. 1 in the Tula region. According to Ukrainian investigators, he worked at this facility in 2022.
Ukrainian law enforcement officials believe that Syromyatnikov may have been involved in the torture of at least 50 Ukrainian prisoners of war. According to the investigation, during morning and evening checks, inmates were beaten with hands, feet, rubber batons, plastic pipes, and hammers, and electric shockers were also used.

Furthermore, investigators claim that contacts from a TA-57 field telephone were connected to the bodies of prisoners, after which an electric current was passed through them. These accusations became the basis for issuing a suspicion notice to Syromyatnikov in Ukraine.
Incidentally, Commander of the Special Operations Forces Robert "Madyar" Brovdi recently showed a video of the elimination of Russian General Grunis.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine explained why General Grunis was so important to the Russian army and Putin.
