Russian volunteer units claim entry into new settlement in Belgorod region
Russian volunteer troops stated that they had entered the settlement of Gorkovsky in the Belgorod region. The fighters have seized the local administration building, according to the Siberian Battalion on Telegram.
"Units of Russian liberation forces, along with volunteers from the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, entered the settlement of Gorkovsky in the territory of the Russian Federation and seized the local administration building," the message states.
Fighters of the Siberian Battalion also published a photo with the Russian tricolor and a plaque of the local administration.

Gorkovsky is a village in the Grayvoron district of the Belgorod region, located near the border with Ukraine. According to recent data, the settlement was home to up to 450 people.

Volunteer raid in Russia
Recall that on March 12, the Russian Volunteer Corps, together with two other units, breached the border with Russia and took control of several settlements, including those in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.
Earlier, Russian volunteers announced strikes on military positions in Russia's Belgorod and Kursk regions. Residents of the Belgorod and Kursk regions were urged to evacuate. Later, the volunteers reiterated their call for evacuation.
Sources from RBC-Ukraine in intelligence reported that the Russian authorities are blocking the evacuation of civilians in the Belgorod region.
