On the night of March 27, oil terminals in the Leningrad region of Russia, in Ust-Luga and Primorsk, were attacked by unidentified drones for the second time following a recent strike, according to Russian media.

Explosions were reported at the site of the attack. The sky there was lit up by a bright glow visible for tens of kilometers.

Both ports are the largest in the region and account for a significant share of the Russian petroleum product exports.

One of the public groups that explosions were heard after 1 a.m. in the Vyborg, Kirov, and Kolpino districts of the region.

"According to preliminary data, about 20 aerial targets have already been shot down," Russian media reports.

Pulkovo Airport has temporarily suspended passenger arrivals and departures for approximately two hours. No official information on the consequences of the attacks has been released yet.

The ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk were attacked recently in Russia. Specifically, on March 25, a fire broke out at the Ust-Luga port and was extinguished.

The port of Ust-Luga is one of the largest Russian ports on the Baltic Sea and a key hub for the export of Russian petroleum products, located about 1,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
