Russian Tver under attack: Explosions reported near airfield

In the Tver region (Russia) last night, May 25, air defense systems were active and explosions were heard, reportedly due to the detection of drones. The local airfield and a military unit were likely targeted by the drone strikes, according to the governor of Tver region, Igor Rudenya, and the Telegram channel Astra.
According to the Russian official, reportedly, 5 drones were shot down over the Tver area near Migalovo. This information was announced by the local government representative at 02:47.
“There are no casualties or damage. Further monitoring of the situation is ongoing,” the Telegram channel Pul69 quotes the governor as saying.
However, later he reported the alleged elimination of three more drones over the territory of Tver (Migalovo). He added that the air defense operations are ongoing.
Meanwhile, Russian media reports that residents of Tver described explosions in the city area, particularly near the military airfield. It was stated that this explosion occurred amid the drone attack.
This concerns the Migalovo airfield, located on the outskirts of Tver near the Migalovo neighborhood (a former military town).
Astra clarified that this airfield is a joint base for both the Russian Ministry of Defense aviation and civil aviation (the Ministry of Transport).
Additionally, footage of the explosions near the Tver airfield from that night was released online.
Also, online reports indicate that due to the air attack, there was likely a fire at a military facility in the area.
Earlier reports stated that on the night of May 25, Moscow experienced complaints about a drone attack. Additionally, restrictions were imposed on operations at several Moscow airports.
It was also reported in January that drones attacked a local oil depot in the Tver region.
