Drone strikes hit Moscow: Airports forced to shut down

In the Moscow region, during the night of May 25, air defense forces and equipment were reportedly activated due to drones allegedly flying toward the Russian capital. Operations at several Moscow airports were restricted, according to the Telegram channel of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin and the media outlet Astra.
The authorities of the Russian capital reported an alleged drone attack, which, according to the Russian side, was repelled.
“The Ministry of Defense’s air defense repelled an attack by two enemy drones heading toward Moscow,” Sobyanin reported on social media around 11:50 p.m.
The mayor of Russia’s capital also reported falling debris and said emergency service specialists were working on the scene.
Meanwhile, Rosaviatsiya announced restrictions on operations at Moscow’s Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports.
Additionally, a Carpet Plan was implemented for Kaluga airport as well. These restrictions are explained by the air threat and involve a ban on both arrivals and departures of flights.
