Russia complains about drone attack on Moscow, Vnukovo Airport closed

In the Moscow region, Russia, explosions were heard on the night of May 5. In the Podolsk district, air defense systems were active due to the detection of drones reportedly moving towards the capital of the aggressor country, reports Moscow's mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
According to the mayor of Moscow, the military allegedly repelled an attack by four drones heading towards Moscow.
"At the crash site, preliminary reports indicate that there are no destructions or casualties," Sobyanin said.
He added that specialists from emergency services are working at the scene.
Earlier, Russian media reported the announcement of the Carpet plan by Rosaviatsiya at Moscow's Vnukovo airport.
"Preliminary reports indicate a threat of a UAV attack. Residents of Podolsk are reporting six explosions over the city and the activation of air defense systems," stated a post from the Telegram channel Mash.
The Carpet plan involves a ban on the arrival and departure of flights at the airport.
Later, Russian Telegram channels reported that Rosaviatsiya also suspended the operation of Moscow's Domodedovo Airport. This is explained by the intention to ensure safety measures.
In mid-April, Russia claimed that drones massively attacked the city of Kursk, where dozens of explosions were heard and fires broke out.
Additionally, recently, Russia reported an attack by sea drones on Novorossiysk, where a port is located. Local channels reported a combined attack.
Yesterday, it was revealed that the Strela defense plant in the Bryansk region stopped operations allegedly due to an airstrike. This plant worked for the Russian military-industrial complex.
