Russian troops strike Nikopol district: Residential buildings damaged and fires reported
On the evening of Sunday, July 7, Russians shelled Nikopol and several communities of Nikopol district in the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak.
He notes that Russians used kamikaze drones and artillery. The city of Nikopol, as well as the Marhanets and Pokrovsk communities, were struck.
"Four people were injured. All are undergoing outpatient treatment. A five-storey building, 4 private houses, 3 outbuildings, 2 greenhouses and a car were damaged. Several fires broke out, which were extinguished by rescuers," Lysak writes.
In addition, at night, a unit of the Air Command East of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian drone over the Dnipro region.

Russian night shelling of Ukraine
On the evening of Sunday, July 7, Russia took off with Tu-95 strategic bombers from the Olenya airfield in the Murmansk region.
At 1:30 a.m. on July 8, the planes launched missiles in the direction of Ukraine. Subsequently, an air alert was declared in Kyiv and many regions of the country. Most of the missiles circled Kyiv from the south and headed for the Zhytomyr region.
In addition, an explosion occurred after midnight in the suburbs of Kharkiv. Also at night, explosions were heard in Mykolaiv and near Sumy.
