Russian troops strike Kharkiv region with guided bombs, 6 children injured
Russian forces attacked the Kharkiv region today with guided aerial bombs (GABs). As a result of the shelling, six children were injured, reports the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
According to him, the Russian army struck civilian infrastructure in Derhachi of the Kharkiv district.
As of now, it is known about seven injured, including:
- four children with moderate injuries;
- two children with minor limb injuries;
- a 75-year-old man who received assistance on-site.
All children have been hospitalized.
Kharkiv region under attacks
In recent weeks, the enemy has intensified attacks on critical and civilian infrastructure of the Kharkiv region. As a result, power supply restrictions have been in place in the region for a long time. The escalation of shelling has heightened the issue of bolstering Ukraine's air defense.
The Russian military shelled the region yesterday, May 1. A private house on the outskirts of Kharkiv was hit, and dozens of other buildings were damaged. As a result of the shelling of Zolochiv, a 77-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman died.
