Russian troops shelled Vovchansk, Kharkiv region, on December 28. The shelling caused a car to catch fire, killing one woman and wounding another, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

"At about 10 o'clock, there was an enemy shelling (preliminary with MLRS) of Vovchansk, which is in the Chuhuiv district. Unfortunately, a 66-year-old woman died in hospital from her injuries," he says.

A 63-year-old resident is also receiving medical aid at the scene.
