Russian troops occupy Popiv Yar in Dobropillia direction - Ukrainian Armed Forces

Russia occupied the village of Popiv Yar in the Donetsk region and Ivano-Darivka in the Siversky direction. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue counterattacks, according to the operational-strategic group Dnipro.
As reported, the enemy pushed out Ukrainian units and is trying to expand controlled territory near Novyi Shakhovyi, activating an offensive in the direction of Ivanivka.
"The enemy pushed out our units and occupied Popiv Yar," the report says.
In the Siversky direction, the occupiers carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Hryhorivka, Pereizne, Fedorivka, and Serebrianka, but managed to capture Ivano-Darivka.
Situation near Dobropillia
Recently, data appeared online about alleged significant advances of Russian troops in the Dobropillia area, recorded on the interactive map DeepStateMap.
However, a representative of the operational-strategic grouping "Dnipro," Viktor Trehubov, clarified that it concerned only the penetration of small groups of occupiers, a few people in each.
By August 14, the General Staff reported that the situation had stabilized. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on August 15 emphasized that Russia’s attempts to "show force" near Dobropillia ended with heavy losses for the occupiers.
He also announced the strengthening of defenses in the region to prevent similar threats in the future.
In addition, the Defense Forces stopped and blocked Russian breakthroughs, and the clearing of settlements into which the enemy managed to penetrate is underway.
