Russian troops disguised as civilians fail to breach Ukrainian lines in Kupiansk

Russian forces disguise themselves as civilians or use the terrain to avoid identification, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to repel their attacks, reports Viktor Trehubov, Spokesman for the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Troops.
In Kupiansk, the Russian army is actively attempting to infiltrate with sabotage and reconnaissance groups of two to five personnel.
"They try to exploit their numbers, slip through Ukrainian positions, and later occupy buildings," Trehubov explained.
Ukrainian forces destroy Russian soldiers before they reach residential areas to prevent them from establishing a foothold in the city. Trehubov also said that the enemy continuously strikes with artillery, drones, and other weapons.
"This is effectively a frontline city now," he emphasized.
Situation in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region
Recently, reports claimed that Russian forces had reached the center of Kupiansk and that fighting was ongoing there. However, Lieutenant Colonel Oleksii Bielskyi, Spokesperson for the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Troops, said this information is false.
The Russian army has received orders from its commanders to shoot civilians, including men, in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. The fact confirmed by Russian prisoners of war.
In recent days, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian forces in Kupiansk will be destroyed. Strong Ukrainian units are operating in the area, eliminating concentrated Russian forces and preventing their advance. Counter-sabotage operations are underway in the city, where Ukrainian units are conducting clearance operations.
