Russian troops in the Sumy region attacked rescuers and police officers. As a result of the attack, two people received injuries, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

"As a result of Russian shelling of the territory of the region, 6 people were injured, among them – 2 rescuers and 2 police officers," was noted in the Sumy RMA.

Thus, in Sumy region a 33-year-old and a 28-year-old rescuer were injured, who went out to the place to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack. Also, injuries were received by two police officers who arrived at the previous impact – a 49-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man.

Also in the Mykolaiv rural community, as a result of an attack by an enemy drone, a 69-year-old man was injured. In the Bilopillia community, a man suffered from an attack by a UAV.

In total, during the day, from the morning of September 8 to the morning of September 9 Russian troops carried out 74 shellings on 41 settlements in 19 territorial communities of the region. The largest number of shellings was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.

Russian strikes on the Sumy region

Previously, in the morning on Monday, September 8, in the city of Shostka of Sumy region and in Shostka district, the light disappeared as a result of a Russian strike on objects of critical infrastructure.

It was also reported that in the Sumy region, Russian troops struck rescuers who arrived to examine the residential sector of the Bilopillia district.

Additionally, on September 7, the Russian army launched another attack on the regional military administration of Sumy. According to rescuers, by the blast wave, an administrative building was damaged, and a fire broke out.
