Russian troops advance in Kharkiv region - British intelligence
Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region remains the main direction of the Russian offensive. But they are also advancing in the Kharkiv region, according to the British Ministry of Defense.
Russian troops have advanced west of the village of Pishchane in the northeastern Kharkiv region. They now occupy a small salient 3.5 km from the Oskil River.
“It is likely that Russian forces aim to reach the eastern bank of the Oskil River to use as a natural defensive barrier and set conditions for future operations.

According to British intelligence, the main efforts of Russian troops are still focused on Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine. Russia has most likely taken the towns of Hrodivka, east of Pokrovsk, and Ukrainsk, south of the city. Russian troops remain approximately 8 km from Pokrovsk.

“Ukrainian reinforcements, urban areas, and Ukrainian defenses have likely contributed to slowing Russia's advance on the axis in the past week,” the report said.

The most active hostilities took place in the Kharkiv and Kupiansk sectors, where Russia launched 23 attacks, including near Vovchansk, Petropavlivka and other localities. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 13 attacks.
The highest activity was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector, where the Russians carried out 35 attacks.
