Russian strikes hit Chernihiv, damaging transport infrastructure

On the evening of September 20, Russian forces attacked Chernihiv with drones. The city’s transport infrastructure was targeted, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, Head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, reports.
According to Bryzhynskyi, as of 5:15 p.m. local time, two enemy drones had crashed in the city.
“Due to the UAV crash, transport infrastructure was damaged. There are no casualties,” the Head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration clarified later, adding that drones were still present over the city.
In his latest update, Bryzhynskyi said that at 6:02 p.m. local time, another strike on transport infrastructure was recorded. No casualties have been reported so far.
Where raid alert is declared
Throughout the day, especially toward the evening, the enemy actively attacked Ukraine with drones. As of 6:17 p.m. local time, the air raid alert map looked as follows: the alarm continued in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Odesa, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions.
Shelling of Chernihiv
Russians regularly shell Chernihiv, using drones and various types of missiles for their attacks.
For example, on September 4, the enemy struck the city with missiles. According to the Head of the Regional Military Administration, one missile hit an enterprise, and later he reported another strike near a checkpoint.
In addition, on September 11, Russians also attacked Chernihiv. That day, an enemy drone hit a local enterprise, causing a fire.
