Russian strikes destroy nearly half of Ukrainian logistics company's warehouses

Russian attacks have destroyed nearly half of the warehouses operated by Ukrainian logistics company Berger Cargo. Total losses from the destruction and loss of equipment are estimated at 65 million hryvnias, the company's director and co-founder, Valeriy Baranovskyi, said in an interview with NV.
Before the Russian attacks, the company had 83,000 square meters of warehouse space in the Kyiv region, Odesa, and Lviv. The facilities in the Kyiv region suffered the most damage, with one of three warehouses destroyed and the other two partially damaged.
At one of these facilities alone, fire completely destroyed 33,500 square meters of space. Overall, the company lost more than 40,000 square meters of warehouse capacity as a result of the attacks.
Total losses are estimated at around 65 million hryvnias (approximately $1.6 million). This includes the cost of destroyed specialized equipment, IT infrastructure, forklifts, and other fixed assets.
Recovery and geographic expansion
Despite the serious losses, the logistics operator continues to operate and is actively expanding the geographic reach of its business. In September, the company opened a new branch in Chernivtsi, where it already has around 12,000 square meters of space across several locations.
Berger Cargo is also currently developing its branch in Lviv and considering opening new facilities in other regions of the country to reduce risks and expand its network.
