The death toll from the Russian strike on Sumy on June 3 has risen to five. A woman who had sustained severe injuries died in the hospital today, according to Acting Mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar.

"With deep sorrow, I report that as a result of the Russian strike on the Sumy community on June 3, the death toll has risen — an 86-year-old woman who sustained severe injuries has died in the hospital," Kobzar stated.

According to him, this attack has now claimed the lives of five Sumy residents.

Strike on Sumy

On June 3, Russia carried out a strike on the center of Sumy. The attack targeted civilian transport — two cars caught fire as a result of the strike, leaving one person dead and dozens injured.

In one district of the city, a shell hit the road surface. The explosion ignited a car, and the fire was promptly extinguished.

Additionally, an apartment building in one neighborhood was damaged, though there were no structural collapses.

In total, three private houses, a warehouse building, a garage, four vehicles, and one hospital building were damaged.
