Russian forces carried out a targeted strike on a five-story residential building in Kramatorsk, the Donetsk region, on Thursday, July 31, destroying half of the structure, according to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

According to him, as of now, one person has been confirmed dead and 11 others injured as a result of the Russian strike on Kramatorsk. One of the injured is in serious condition.

"The Russians carried out a targeted strike on a five-story building, and half of it has been completely destroyed," the head of the Regional Military Administration emphasized.

Filashkin noted that all necessary services are working at the scene of the attack.

He also urged local residents to act responsibly and evacuate in a timely manner.

Attack on Kramatorsk

A powerful explosion in Kramatorsk was reported around 3:00 p.m. Kyiv time. A column of smoke rose in the city center.

Following the incident, the head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko, confirmed that Russian forces had struck the city. He also reported that there were casualties.

Notably, during the night of July 31, Russian forces also attacked apartment buildings in Kyiv. More than 100 people were reported injured as a result of the strike.

As of now, official reports confirm nine fatalities. The rubble is still being cleared.
