On the night of June 17, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Kyiv with missiles and kamikaze drones, one of which severely damaged a high-rise building in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv. Rescuers have pulled another victim out of the rubble, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"In the Solomianskyi district, the body of 1 more killed person (male) was unblocked from the rubble of a partially destroyed 9-story building. In total, the bodies of 17 people have been recovered from the above address. The work continues," the SES notes.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Kravchenko, also noted that the work to clear the rubble and search for people lasted all night.

"Unfortunately, the worst forecasts are still coming true. Some of those Kyiv residents who stopped communicating after the attack yesterday have been pulled out from under the rubble. As of eight o'clock this morning, 17 people were killed as a result of a direct hit to a house in the Solomianskyi district. The search is ongoing," Kravchenko said.
