Russian strike on Kharkiv TV tower: Police shows footage of aftermath
Russian forces today, on April 22, launched a rocket strike on a TV tower in Kharkiv. Photos of the aftermath have emerged, according to the police of the Kharkiv region, as well as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the State Special Communications Service on Telegram.

As reminded by the police, Russia struck Kharkiv, resulting in damage to a television infrastructure object. Investigative and operational groups, criminal investigators, and explosives experts are already working at the scene.

"The police are conducting a site inspection, interviewing witnesses, documenting, and seizing material evidence of the crime committed by Russian military personnel," law enforcement officials added.

Confirmation from Zelenskyy
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that Russian forces had struck the Kharkiv TV tower.
He conveyed information about the shelling to US President Joe Biden during a telephone conversation.
Issues with the television signal
The State Special Communications Service reported that due to the strike on the TV tower, television signal transmission is temporarily unavailable. Restoration work is ongoing.
Kharkiv residents were also informed that they can receive information from local radio stations, use cable or online television services, or receive TV signals through satellite receivers.

Today, April 22, in the afternoon, an explosion occurred in Kharkiv. Later, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, clarified that Russia shelled the city, targeting a television infrastructure object.
Following this, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office stated that the enemy used a guided aviation missile Kh-59 for the attack.
