The number of people killed and injured in Russia’s strike on a five-story apartment building in Zaporizhzhia continues to rise. People are still trapped under the rubble, according to Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Defense Council.
The death toll from airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia has risen to eight, including three children.
Another 16 people were injured, including three children.
Two of the injured are in serious condition, while most of the others are in moderate condition.

The whereabouts of another 12 people remain unknown. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
Strike on Zaporizhzhia
On the morning of October 10, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, hitting a five-story residential building. People were killed and injured, and people remain trapped under the rubble.
The direct hit partially destroyed an entrance of the five-story building, with the structures collapsing at the second-floor level. Other nearby residential buildings were also damaged.
