Russian strike hits Kherson: three injured, including elderly civilians

Late in the evening on July 9, Russian forces launched an artillery attack on Kherson. Three people were injured in the strike, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
"Around 10:30 PM Kyiv time, Russian troops launched an artillery strike on Kherson’s Dnipro district," the statement said.
According to the update, the attack injured two women and one man. Among them, an 87-year-old woman and an 85-year-old man suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds. They were hospitalized in moderate condition.
"In addition, a 52-year-old woman sustained severe injuries, including wounds to her arm, abdomen, and chest. She has been hospitalized," the regional administration reported.
Ongoing strike in Kherson
Kherson continues to face regular Russian attacks using artillery, drones, and other weapons.
On July 9, Russian forces also struck the city’s train station once again, damaging the baggage claim building.
According to Ukrainian Railways Ukrzaliznytsia, eight people were sheltering inside the station at the time of the attack. No injuries were reported.
