Russian strike hits high-rise building in Zaporizhzhia, injuries reported

Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, causing a fire in one of the city’s districts. Preliminary reports indicate there are casualties, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, reports.
In the Zaporizhzhia region today, April 22, Russian forces carried out an airstrike on one of the city's districts.
At 11:29 a.m. local time, a threat of guided aerial bomb strikes was recorded, and just two minutes later, at 11:31 a.m., reports of explosions in the region came in.
As a result of the attack, a fire broke out in the territory of Zaporizhzhia.
According to the regional administration, medics have already been dispatched to the scene to provide assistance.
Preliminary information indicates there are casualties.

Ivan Fedorov reported that two people were injured and are being taken to the hospital.
"A 69-year-old woman was seriously injured. Doctors tried to resuscitate her, but were unable to save her," Fedorov wrote.

One guided aerial bomb (GAB) struck an infrastructure facility, while the second hit a residential area and a building.
Currently, 13 people are known to have been injured, including two children. One fatality has also been reported. Two people are in serious condition and receiving medical assistance.
All utility and emergency services are already working at the scene.

The State Emergency Service (SES) reports that the number of those injured in the Russian attack has risen to 15.
As of 2 p.m., there are already 22 injured in Zaporizhzhia as a result of the Russian strike.
Among the wounded are now three children. All of them have been hospitalized.
Doctors assess their condition as moderate.
Furthermore, enemy drones attacked the Kyiv region overnight. Houses, cars, and outbuildings were damaged.
The most destruction was recorded in the Bucha district: six private houses, four cars, three outbuildings, and three garages were damaged.
In addition, yesterday in Odesa, due to a massive enemy drone attack carried out the previous evening, several people were injured. They are receiving medical assistance.
