Russia struck Lozova in the Kharkiv region overnight on July 5. Due to the attack, around 80% of the city's residents were left without power, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, reports.

"Due to the enemy attack, nearly 80% of the city's consumers were left without electricity. As of now, power has already been restored in the city, and work is ongoing to restore electricity in other settlements of the community," Syniehubov said.

According to the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, energy workers prioritized restoring power to the city's critical infrastructure and are gradually reconnecting household consumers.

Syniehubov also added that the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration is coordinating the recovery efforts and that those affected are receiving all necessary assistance.

Strike on Lozova, Kharkiv region

Overnight on August 5, Russia launched a drone and missile strike on Ukraine. Around midnight, drones were detected in multiple directions, but the main axis of the attack was Lozova in the Kharkiv region.

Mayor Serhii Zelenskyi reported that this was the largest attack on Lozova so far. It lasted from 2:30 to 3:00 a.m. local time.

According to Ukraine's Prosecutor's Office, Russian troops launched over 30 Shahed-136 (Geran-2) kamikaze drones. Due to the strikes, the railway station and other infrastructure facilities were damaged. Some residents managed to shelter in time, but there are injured. Due to the attack, some train services are delayed.
