Russian ship with Kalibr missiles onboard spotted in Black Sea
On the morning of January 21, the Russian army deployed a military vessel to patrol the Black Sea. The ship is capable of transporting and launching Kalibr cruise missiles, reports the Ukrainian Navy.
In the event of a strike, the vessel can simultaneously launch up to 4 Kalibr cruise missiles.
Meanwhile, there are currently no enemy ships in the Sea of Azov.
In the Mediterranean Sea, 6 enemy ships are stationed. Among them, 2 are missile carriers, with a total salvo capacity of up to 22 missiles.
The military also reported that over the course of the day, in Russia's interests, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait:
- to the Black Sea - 8 ships, 2 of which continued towards the Bosporus Strait;
- to the Sea of Azov - 4 ships, none of which moved from the Bosporus Strait.
The Ukrainian Navy also noted that Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense stated that this year, the capabilities of the domestic defense industry could reach $35 billion.
Iran may transfer weapons to Russia that could be used to attack Ukrainian naval drones.
At the same time, Russian forces have had storming successes and advances in the Donetsk region.
