Russian shelling of Odesa: Electric transport halted, kindergartens partially closed
As a result of the Russian night shelling of Odesa, public electric transport will not work in the city today, and kindergartens that have no electricity as of 8 a.m. will enroll children in regular groups, according to the city mayor's office.
"City electric transport is not working today. Kindergartens that do not have electricity as of 8 a.m. will accept children in regular groups," the message says.
The mayor's office asks to take into account that cooking in kindergartens is impossible, so they ask to feed children at home. Institutions that have restored power will operate as usual.
In connection with the temporary suspension of electric transport, bus carriers have worked out the issue of putting more rolling stock on the line, as well as increasing the use of medium and large buses on main routes.
Russian troops attacked Odesa and the region with kamikaze drones last night, March 24. The shelling damaged energy infrastructure facilities. Parts of the city have no electricity supply.
