Russian forces attacked Ukrainian territory with kamikaze drones of the Shahed type from multiple directions overnight on February 2. Air defense forces were deployed in several regions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"During the night, Russian occupiers launched another attack, employing 25 drones of the Shahed-136/131 type," according to a statement from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is reported that in the course of the combat operations by the Ukrainian air defense forces, 11 enemy drones were destroyed.

Specifically, the air defense forces in the sky over the Dnipropetrovsk region shot down three enemy Shahed drones.

Night attack on February 2

Russian forces launched an attack on Ukrainian territory using Shahed drones. According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the drones approached from the south and north directions. Explosions were heard in Kryvyi Rih, the Dnipropetrovsk region, and Kropyvnytskyi, while air defense forces were active in the Kirovohrad region.

Later, it became known that the Russian forces damaged a substation in Kryvyi Rih.

"Unfortunately, there is damage to one of the substations of NPC Ukrenergo. In the city of Kryvyi Rih, residential and industrial consumers are experiencing power outages," as stated in the Ukrenergo announcement.
