Kryvyi Rih is partially out of power after Russian shelling
During the drone attack, the Russians damaged one of the substations in Kryvyi Rih, according to the Ukrenergo Telegram channel and the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhiy Lysak.
"Unfortunately, there is damage to one of the substations of NPC Ukrenergo. In the city of Kryvyi Rih, residential and industrial consumers are experiencing power outages," reported the channel.
Experts from the company and the State Emergency Service are inspecting the equipment.
"Emergency recovery work will begin immediately after the inspection is completed," the company stated.
Updated at 07:40: According to the head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhiy Lysak, the substation was damaged as a result of a drone strike.
"This led to the power outage for more than 40 thousand subscribers, including two mines. Over 100 workers remained underground. Some of them have already been brought to the surface," wrote Lysak.
Drone attack on Ukraine on the night of February 2
On the night of February 2, authorities declared an air alert in some regions of Ukraine. According to reports from the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there was a threat from drones.
Residents of Kryvyi Rih and Kropyvnytskyi reported hearing explosions. In the Kirovohrad region, the head of the Regional State Administration, Andrii Raikovych, announced the activation of air defense forces.
