Russian rocket attack on Kryvyi Rih: Number of wounded increases to 14, consequences clarified
In Kryvyi Rih, the number of wounded increased from 12 to 14 as a result of last night's Russian missile attack. A 39-year-old man was also killed, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhii Lysak.
Earlier, 12 people were reported injured as a result of the Russian shelling of Kryvyi Rih with ballistic weapons.
According to the official, 10 of the victims were hospitalized, and the condition of one person is considered bad, while the others are in moderate condition.
“Unfortunately, the Russian attack killed a 39-year-old man,” says the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration.
Fire, destruction and damage in Kryvyi Rih
He also informed that the fire that broke out after the Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih had already been extinguished by the State Emergency Service.
Russian shelling damaged:
- 11 apartment buildings,
- a clinic,
- a school,
- an administrative building,
- 12 garages were destroyed, and another 10 were damaged,
- a gas pipeline.
In turn, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, clarified that last night the Russian occupiers fired a ballistic missile at a residential area of the city with very dense apartment buildings.
“All emergency, medical, and utility services were immediately sent to the scene. We managed to rescue 5 people from the building. Unfortunately, 14 people were injured,” he says.
According to Vilkul, despite all the efforts of doctors to save the victim's life, a 39-year-old man with a severe open head injury died.
“Russian strike almost destroyed a three-story building, damaged more than 20 residential buildings (windows, roofs, property of residents), a medical facility, a school, garages, business facilities, shops, and office premises,” he said.
He added that the consequences of the Russian shelling of Kryvyi Rih are still being determined, and the search and rescue operation is now over.
