A massive Russian strike on Kharkiv on January 23 has left 42 people injured and 4 dead, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov. The mayor's office showed what a multi-story building damaged by the Russian strike looks like.

"The number of wounded in Kharkiv has increased to 42. Among them are four children, their condition is moderate," Syniehubov says.

"The death toll from the occupiers' attacks has risen to four," he adds.

Russian shelling of Kharkiv

At night, the Russian occupiers shelled Kharkiv. In particular, they hit residential and civilian areas. Later in the morning, a series of explosions occurred in the city. As a result of the Russian shelling of Kharkiv, the entrance of a residential building was destroyed, and people were trapped under the rubble.

In addition to Kharkiv, the Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv, Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Shostka, Sumy region. At the moment, 5 people have been killed and at least 40 wounded in the morning attack in Ukraine. Read more about the consequences in RBC-Ukraine's report.
