The Security Service of Ukraine struck an important oil pumping station in Russia's Vladimir region, which supplies fuel to the Moscow area.

"Following orders from President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, specialists from the SBU’s Alpha special operations center hit the Vtorovo linear production dispatch station (LPDS) in Russia’s Vladimir region," the statement said.

The station is an important node in the main oil product pipeline system and pumps crude (mainly diesel fuel) from refineries in central Russia to export ports and domestic consumers.

It supplies fuel to major oil depots around Moscow and to the Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, and Vnukovo airports.

As a result of a successful SBU drone attack, a large fire covering an area of 800 m² broke out at the facility.

"SBU is already preparing new special operations. The intensity of Ukraine's strikes on Russian territory will only increase. Our long-range sanctions will continue to work," said SBU head Yevhenii Khmarа.

As a reminder, yesterday and overnight, units of Ukraine's Defense Forces struck several important facilities used by Russian occupation forces. The Tamannaftegaz oil terminal, supply depots, and enemy vessels were hit.
