In Sumy, emergency responders extinguished a fire that broke out following a Russian drone attack on a local educational institution, according to the Telegram channel of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The agency reported that on September 11, around 1:00 a.m. Kyiv time, enemy drones struck the grounds of one of Sumy’s schools.

The school buildings suffered significant damage and partial destruction, with a fire breaking out in one of them.

“Rescue teams quickly extinguished all fire hotspots and inspected the impact site. The blast wave damaged vehicles and shattered windows in nearby multi-story residential buildings,” the State Emergency Service reported.

The emergency service also released photos and videos showing the aftermath of the enemy attack.

On the night of September 11, around 1:00 a.m. Kyiv time, explosions were heard in Sumy.

Later, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported an attack by strike drones on the Zarichnyi district of the city.

The drones hit both residential areas and a school building, causing a fire at the impact site.
