Russian night attack on Sumy region: Several communities left without electricity
Due to Russian drone attacks in the Sumy region on the night of October 2, there is a power outage. Three communities in the Shostka district were left without electricity, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
“Preliminarily, as a result of the Russian attack, Shostka, Hlukhiv, and Yampil territorial communities were cut off from electricity,” the report says.
How many consumers left without electricity
As a result of the Russian attack, over 86 thousand consumer metering points in the Shostka district were cut off.
“As of the morning of October 2, over 82 thousand consumers in this district are temporarily without electricity,” the Sumy Regional Military Administration says.
Overall, as of October 2, almost 90 thousand consumers across the Sumy region are temporarily without electricity.
Russian shelling of Sumy region
Russian troops are constantly shelling Sumy region. In particular, on the night of October 2, the Russians conducted an air strike on Sumy region. The attack hit critical infrastructure facilities in the Shostka district.
On the morning of September 28, the Russians attacked a medical facility in Sumy twice in a row. At the time of the Russian attack, there were almost 90 injured, and 10 people killed.
