Russian night attack on Kyiv region: Buildings damaged, residents treated for smoke inhalation

“In the Brovary district, three adults and a 5-year-old child were rescued from the basement of a private house, where a fire occurred due to the enemy attack. All the victims, suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning, were hospitalized in the local hospital,” the report said.

In addition, another man received a cut to his forearm from the enemy shelling. He was provided with all necessary medical assistance on-site.

Overall, according to Kalashnyk’s post, the consequences of the attack have been recorded in at least four districts of the region. The main targets were residential buildings. The known damages are as follows:

• Vyshhorod district – a private house was damaged;
• Obukhiv district – warehouse facilities and a private house were damaged;
• Brovary district – fires in three private houses, a production-warehouse building, and garages. All have been extinguished;
• Boryspil district – two private houses were damaged.

“Please stay in safe locations. Take care of yourself and your loved ones,” added the head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

Massive attack on Ukraine

On the night of January 8–9, Russia carried out another combined attack on Ukraine. The enemy launched drones and missiles, with Kyiv and Lviv being the primary targets.

In particular, Kyiv was attacked with drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. As a result of the strikes, the capital has suffered damage, destruction, fires, and other consequences.

In addition, the enemy struck Lviv during the night. A critical infrastructure facility in the city was hit. Authorities and the military do not rule out that an Oreshnik missile was used, but there is no confirmed information yet.
