Russian night attack on Kyiv: All drones were neutralized
Today, October 7, Russia once again attacked Kyiv with drones. The air alert in the capital was announced three times during the night and lasted more than two hours in total, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
In particular, Russians entered Kyiv in waves and from different directions. Ukrainian air defense forces and equipment detected about a dozen Russian drones in the airspace around the capital. All drones that threatened Kyiv were neutralized.
“There was no information on damage or casualties. The data of the operational summary is being updated and clarified,” says Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
He adds that this was the fourth air attack on Kyiv since the beginning of October 2024.
“The exact number and type of drones will be made public by the Ukrainian Air Force,” Popko summarizes.
On the night of October 5-6, Russia also tried to attack Kyiv with drones. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces, just like today, neutralized all the drones detected in the capital's airspace.
