Russian navy officer killed in Sevastopol car bomb linked to Ukrainian intel operation
In Sevastopol, during a special operation by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), the head of the 41st Brigade of Missile Ships and Boats of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Valery Trankovsky, was eliminated. He was a war criminal responsible for attacks on Ukraine, according to RBC-Ukraine's Sources within the SSU.
As a result of a car explosion, the war criminal lost both legs and later died from blood loss.
Who was Trankovsky
The head of the 41st Brigade of Missile Ships and Boats of the Black Sea Fleet was responsible for ordering the launch of cruise missiles from the Black Sea targeting civilian sites in Ukraine.
He was involved in the Kalibr missile strike on Vinnytsia in July 2022, which resulted in the deaths of 29 civilians. He also repeatedly ordered attacks on Odesa and other cities, causing civilian casualties.
Meanwhile, Russian sources report that Trankovsky had been under surveillance for about a week, and the improvised explosive device was detonated remotely.
“It’s symbolic that a Russian war criminal, with the blood of dozens of peaceful Ukrainians on his hands, met his disgraceful end on Taras Shevchenko Street in Sevastopol. Retribution for crimes is only a matter of time,” an informed SSU source emphasized.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that in April, a car bomb targeted Vasyl Prozorov, a former SSU officer and collaborator.
