Russian missile strike on Ukraine's Kramatorsk on July 31: Death toll rises to seven

The number of people killed in the Russian missile strike on Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region on July 31 has risen to seven, according to the State Emergency Service.
"As a result of the cynical enemy strike on downtown Kramatorsk on July 31, two sections of a five-story residential building were destroyed, and at least seven people were killed," the State Emergency Service reported.
It is noted that on August 4 alone, 780 tons of damaged building structures were dismantled and removed. Rescuers recovered one body and human body fragments from under the rubble, which were handed over to the National Police for further identification.
In total, during the emergency rescue operations, rescuers dismantled 1,685 tons of destroyed structures and extinguished a fire covering an area of 1,200 square meters.
Missile strike on Kramatorsk
A powerful explosion in Kramatorsk was reported around 3:00 p.m. Kyiv time on July 31. A column of smoke rose in the city center.
Shortly afterward, the head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration confirmed that the Russian forces had launched a missile strike on the city and reported the first casualties.
It was later revealed that the enemy strike completely destroyed half of a residential apartment building. According to local authorities, the building was deliberately targeted.
As of today, search and rescue operations are still ongoing in Kramatorsk following the Russian missile strike on the residential building.
