Search and rescue operations continue in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, after a Russian missile attack on a residential building on July 31. The number of victims has increased to 6, according to the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Vadym Filashkin.

"The body of another victim of the recent strike on Kramatorsk was recovered by rescuers from the rubble of a high-rise building," the statement says.

According to Filashkin, the total number of victims now stands at 6 killed and 11 wounded.

According to preliminary information, four more people are still trapped under the rubble. The search and rescue operation continues.

Russian attack on Kramatorsk

A powerful explosion in Kramatorsk was reported around 3 p.m. Kyiv time on July 31. A column of smoke rose in the city center.

Afterwards, the head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration confirmed that the Russians had attacked the city and reported the first casualties.

As it turned out, half of a residential high-rise building was destroyed as a result of the Russian strike. According to the local authorities, the attack on the building was targeted.

Yesterday, 5 people were reported killed in the Russian attack.

Rescuers also showed the consequences of the Russian strike on Kramatorsk.

Kramatorsk, located in the Donetsk region, has been under constant threat from Russian troops for months.

The city, which remains one of the largest humanitarian and logistics hubs in eastern Ukraine, is regularly subjected to rocket and air strikes.
