Deliberate Russian missile kills five in Ukraine's Kramatorsk in July 31 attack

The death toll from the Russian missile strike on Kramatorsk, Ukraine, on July 31 has risen to five. That day, a residential high-rise was hit, reports the Kramatorsk City Council.
Oleksandr Honcharenko, head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration, said the number of victims from the July 31 missile strike on the residential building in Kramatorsk has increased to five.
Russian attack on Kramatorsk
The powerful explosion in Kramatorsk was first reported around 3:00 PM Kyiv time on July 31. A column of smoke rose over the city center.
Shortly after, the head of the Kramatorsk City Military Administration confirmed the Russian strike and reported initial casualties.
It turned out that the Russian strike completely destroyed half of the residential high-rise. Local authorities said the attack on the building was deliberate.
Earlier on the same day, it was reported that the death toll from the Russian strike on Kramatorsk had risen to four.
"At least four people were killed in the attack. Rescuers recovered one body from under the rubble. Thirteen more people were injured," rescuers said.
Officials from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine also released photos from Kramatorsk.
Kramatorsk, located in the Donetsk region, has been under constant threat from Russian forces for several months.
The city, one of the largest humanitarian and logistical hubs in eastern Ukraine, regularly faces missile and air strikes.
