A missile attack by Russian troops on Kharkiv on January 23 killed three people and wounded more than 30 others, according to the head of the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region, Volodymyr Tymoshko, and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.

"28 people were injured as a result of strikes on Kharkiv. The data is being updated. Medics continue to assist," Sinegubov says.

In addition, according to preliminary data, three people were killed as a result of the Russian attack.

"The occupants attacked only civilian infrastructure: residential buildings were destroyed, civilian cars were destroyed. Another act of terrorism!" adds the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

According to Syniehubov, the number of wounded in Kharkiv has increased to 35 people. Among them are two children aged 10 and 12. Five people are in bad condition.

Last night, the Russian occupiers shelled Kharkiv. In particular, they hit residential and civilian areas.

A series of explosions also occurred in the city in the morning.

As a result of the Russian shelling of Kharkiv, the entrance to a residential building in the Kyiv district of the city was destroyed, and people were trapped under the rubble.

There is also a reported lack of electricity and water in one of the most affected parts of the district.
